In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.
The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Material
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
